What about purpose?

I bet you’ve asked yourself more than once what is your purpose in life. Am I wrong? I also believe you’ve tried one of many recipes available out there on how to find your purpose in life, but I guess this is not about following a recipe.

Purpose means “the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.” When I think about finding a purpose in life the first thing that comes to my mind is something big, extraordinary, profitable and successful. Something that will bring joy and happiness to my life. However, this a controversial thought because it makes me feel useless and not capable of achieving such a thing.

The purpose is “the reason for which something is done or created or exists”. Therefore, everybody’s purpose is to be happy. We were created to be happy and we exist to evolve and to learn how to be happy – it is indeed an extraordinary thing, but it has to come from inside.

Again we need to go back to the basics. The simplicity of the basics sometimes can make us feel confused and lost, but we are responsible for everything that happens to us without exception. So it is our responsibility and solely our responsibility to be happy or I should say to learn how to be happy, but first, we need to know ourselves. We need to observe and invest in us, but how? That’s the thing, this is not a recipe but I believe is the way I understand the process.

First of all, we must believe and accept that we are learners of divine laws and teachings and like everything you study in life, practice will make you excel it. We need to be humble and put ourselves in a comfortable position because like every student, we are going to make mistakes and that’s completely fine. After all, we have the whole eternity to succeed.

Once you put yourself in a learner position you will automatically find out what exactly you need to focus on by observing your thoughts, feelings, your behaviour in everyday life, because life is happening right now. So that’s why it’s so important to live in the present moment.

Buddha brings us enlightenment on how we should handle the most simple tasks in life, like peeling an orange.

” If you eat an orange in forgetfulness, caught in your anxiety and sorrow, the orange is not really there. But if you bring your mind and body together to produce true presence, you can see that the orange is a miracle. Peel the orange. Smell the fruit. See the orange blossoms in the orange, and the rain and the sun that have gone through the orange blossoms” https://www.lionsroar.com/the-moment-is-perfect/

So back to my point about the basics, and I hope now it illustrates better what I was trying to say earlier, everything that happens to us and every person that crosses our path is a divine opportunity to get to know ourselves, to evolve and to move forward towards happiness. The real happiness that lives within each one of us, the one that will bring joy and inner peace.

I wish you all a beautiful and interesting journey- right now is the right moment!

Stay safe 🙂

Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way. This is one of the most powerful and truthful sayings that I ever heard. In fact, I truly understood the meaning of this sentence only recently, when I realised that everything we do is because we want to do and everything we don’t do, is also because we don’t want to – I know it sounds simple but it is, and the simple things are hard to understand.

In my opinion, the complex part of this process is to understand the reasons behind our inertness. Perhaps we fear to be judged or rejected, we have a lack of self-confidence or faith in ourselves or do we want to pleased others? I don’t know exactly.

I am sure if I ask you to think about some things you have achieved in your life, you would have more than one example to share with us… because everything that you’ve done so far it is simply because you wanted and nothing else.

When you really want something, you get it. You will find a way and you will have it. Unfortunately, we don’t remember that we have the power inside us to accomplish anything. We choose to insist on all sort of excuses to not pursue our dreams. Perhaps because of the collection of fears we have, fear of the unknown, fear of our own unnecessary beliefs – those ones that make us feel comfortable, that give us a sense of belonging and acceptance.

It is time to dive deep inside. We must progress. We are strong and the battle is not a choice, it is part of the path, it’s our nature. The battle with yourself, your truth, your soul…

The things we exceed are the things we are truly interested in. I am emphasising this to try to make you understand that there is no short cut, miracle or outside solution. The problems and the solutions we face are both inside us. It is a divine tool we received to polish our soul.

We create and recreate experiences and situations according to our willingness to progress. This is embedded in our essence. We have everything within – This is life and to live and progress we must make an effort every single day, like the famous slogan “JUST DO IT”.

“The effort you put forth in whatever you do is directly proportional to the results you produce”. Mark W. Boyer

I also believe the present moment is always the best time to do anything because we don’t know about tomorrow and beside the upsetting situation we are in at the moment I also want to believe that ,for most of us, this unprecedented times can be considered a pure gift.

A Gift of Unprecedented Time

“It is not the most intellectual or the strongest of species that survives, but the species that survives is the one that is able to adapt to and adjust best to the changing environment in which it finds itself” – Charles Darwin

I went for a walk another day and this friend of mine came to my mind. She is a journalist and I love the way she writes – She is very talented.  She has written a book, has produced a short film and has worked for one of the biggest broadcast television channels. She is also married with two kids… all these thoughts came to my mind and I concluded that she is very successful!

It also made me think about how we measure success. Typically, in our society success is measured by the number of things you can purchase or accumulate – the more you have, the more successful you are.

Nevertheless, one day you wake up and even the most successful person on the whole planet is likely to test positive for this tiny virus. So what?

Suddenly, we find ourselves confined in our homes (which unfortunately it’s not a privilege for all) and we panic! All the effort, all the hard work, all the money, all the bills, and the purchases… what are we going to do? The economy will collapse, but first, the health system will collapse – so there is no hope and all the time and energy that we spent all these years are now threatened and certainly lost.

Why with us and why now? Everything happens for a reason. And you must agree with me that human beings have crossed the line a long time ago. It’s time to change – don’t get me wrong, material things are necessary. I am not condemning the materialism, but I just think the balance is the key to success!

We must learn how to love and respect ALL creatures, with no exception! We always had the choice to do it, but unfortunately, we have chosen to focus solely on how to be materially successful. Many of us dedicate our entire life to work and to purchase or to purchase and to work. It’s like a vicious cycle in which we believe will bring us the most wanted contentment!

The happiness lies within you. Take this present time to dive in – please do it for yourself, do it for the neighbors and for the planet.

Do not simply stay at home but stay active physically and morally. Do not waste this precious opportunity!  Stay present, stay focus and connect to your inner self – sooner, rather than later we will all have to adapt. If you don’t choose to do it now, life will choose on your behalf…

To adapt to the new era, to the new norm and old teachings. It has been called the “new norm”, but there is nothing new. We all know the law, we all know what we must do, yet we choose distraction over action. Raise your thoughts, be vigilant, serve as a soldier – be brave to fight against one of the most challenging battles – the one against yourself!

Don’t worry about the virus – be responsible, stay home if you can and follow the WHO recommendations, but don’t let yourself be distracted with the outside noise.

What have you been doing to adapt to and adjust best to the changing environment in which you find yourself?

Why can’t we Love?

Unfortunately, we are not able to express LOVE just yet. Not the way a true LOVE should be manifested anyway.  The word LOVE became clichéd and lost its meaning over time.

We can only give what we have. It is simple. We just need to go back to the basics. LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF.

In order to LOVE yourself, you need to know yourself. You cannot say that you “LOVE” driving or cooking If you have never done it before. So how can we LOVE our neighbor If we are not able to LOVE ourselves? How can we distribute LOVE If we don’t have it?

LOVE involves freedom, inner power, and acceptance:

  • To accept yourself exactly the way you are;
  • Using your Inner power (we all have it) to improve your being;
  • Embracing freedom – let it go…

Start examining yourself, become friends with yourself, pay attention to your feelings, emotions, the way you react in different circumstances. Get to know your real self. Don’t be scared, it might hurt, it might be very difficult, but it is all part of the processes. Explore the good bit and also, the “not so good” bit in you. And don’t worry about the “bad” part. We are all here to evolve, but to give a step forward we must obtain self-knowledge.

Gandhi already said, “Be the change you want to see in the world”

LOVE can cure. Be sure to cure yourself first to start healing others later.  LOVE is the answer, LOVE is the path, LOVE is freedom, LOVE is the answer for everything. We must start from within.

Let’s embrace LOVE and work towards its real meaning, to be able to experience and distribute LOVE abundantly. And perhaps we can experience the real LOVE sooner than later… With Love, always!

What Have You Learnt So Far?

In most cases, we start the learning journey in the early stage of life up until college and maybe a little bit further. We are encouraged by our family to follow this learning path with the intention of becoming cleverer, cultured and also to guarantee a better and brighter future – which could give us the chances to get a good job, pursue a career, obtain a reasonable salary and to enjoy a comfortable life.

All the above is not only your right as a human being but is also necessary to help you to evolve while incarnated. Unfortunately, not everybody can achieve this in life. As I have mentioned in the previous post… we get what we need and not always it means what we want, but it is all part of a learning process.

I understand that when we are young, we have no clear objectives or no objectives at all. They are commonly set by our parents, family or tutors. However, there is a point in life when we are able to make our own choices and we are fully aware of them – even when we don’t make any – we are choosing!

Cutting a long story short I want to invite you to meditate about why we only dedicate ourselves to study to reach manly materials objectives in life?  We usually establish a “timeline” and work our existence around it, but there is no such thing in eternity. We must think beyond…

Have you ever thought about “studying” yourself? I know… it does sound bizarre, but how can we make any improvement in life If we don’t know who we are?

I would say this is the most challenge task in life, but if you are here to evolve… you must start from within. It will take time – perhaps a few incarnations… but you will get there eventually.

When you know yourself, you can manage, your thoughts, your emotions, and your actions. Believe me or not – also your choice 😊 – this will contribute to a better world. Your attitudes and your opinions about yourself and about others will change dramatically, and you will become free and perhaps happier – this would also contribute to a significant impact on human evolution.

After all, “We Shall Love Our Neighbour as Ourselves” but we cannot give away something that we don’t possess.

You must learn about your own self. You must set objectives that will impact your existence, not only your current life – the sky is the limit.

And guess what? The best time to start is right here, right now!

What do you know about prayer?

What do you know about prayer?

According to the dictionary, prayer is a noun and it means “a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God or another deity”.

Asking for help or thanking a divinity for something. Nothing new so far right?… but “Have you ever thought or paid attention to how you ask for help during your prayers?”

I believe “Our Father” is the first prayer that most of us learn as a child, following the Holy Mother. Maybe you have learned that closing your eyes and repeating these words would do the job and /or If you repeat these prayers as many times as you can, you would get help quicker?

In most of the cases, we pray and ask to the superior spirits to help us to get rid of something or someone that is not pleasant… that annoying work colleague or that demanding boss or to be able to afford your own place as you no longer can handle living with your flatmate or family or you could ask for material things such as a luxury car, a better house, more money, more trips…

And please don’t get me wrong! We all have the free will to do whatever we want and to ask for whatever we wish, but perhaps you have to remind yourself about a few things before you say a prayer next time:

We Are Here to Evolve

No, you are not on holidays – I am sorry to disappoint you :/

The only way to evolve is to live and experience situations that would bring you the opportunity to practice things like humbleness, tolerance, detachment, selfishness, hate, acceptance, and the list goes on and on and on.

Unfortunately, there is no such thing like a Tolerance Shop, where you can buy a bag of tolerance for the week to use with your boss or your flatmate or your family. The relationship you have with them will definitely shape your soul.

So, asking for help to “eliminate” these people from your life does not make sense because you need them! You need then more than you think. If they serve as an instrument to improve your essence, either you like or not, you could possibly ask for a different help? Perhaps you can ask for help to be stronger, to have the courage and to be persistent to overcome these “tests”?

Everything Happens for a Reason

The lesson will come. If you choose to follow path A or path B, it will come. Again, we are here to become a better person.  First of all, to yourself and then to others. Just embrace the opportunity and make the most of it.

We Only Get What We Need

And sometimes that is not what we want. This is purest proof of love than you could ever receive from the Superior Intelligence (whatever name you feel comfortable to use). Getting what you need, it will make you stronger, more evolved and consequently happier (even though that is not what it seems to be at the beginning).

Believe in You/ Be Responsible

Just be yourself. Just pray with your heart, with your own words and just be as simple and sincere as you can be. You are responsible for everything that happens to you, with no exception. Responsibility is not the same as guilt. While guilt determines who is the guilty one, the responsibility determines who is compromised to make improvements in many aspects of life.

It does not depend on how many words you use, but how meaningful and sincere you are. The Universe (whatever name you feel more comfortable to use) knows who you are and what you need. Just trust your guts!

You Are Not Perfect

You will definitely make a few mistakes during your journey. That is perfectly fine and there is where I want to get … Next time you say a prayer, maybe you could ask for help to be strong enough to face that situation or that person.

Do not blame yourself for not being able to handle the challenges and circumstances in the best way all the time. Just pay attention to your feelings and emotions. Take this “let-down opportunities” to observe yourself and try harder next time. Forgive yourself and move one. You did the best that you could have done 😊

When it comes to the second meaning found in the dictionary “Expression of thanks addressed to God or another deity”.

Be Grateful

TO YOURSELF. You are responsible for everything in your life with no exception and you are the most important being in the whole universe. You are unique and that alone should make you feel special and strong.  Just accept yourself the way you are with no resentment. Everything that you need to become a better soul is already inside you. This is the true miracle!
